WHAT IS BOULDERING?

Bouldering is climbing which takes place above a matted surface and without the use of a safety rope. At Gravity, the maximum height of our wall is 4.5 metres but this doesn’t mean that it’s not challenging! Our boulder problems are colour coded and they range from relatively easy challenges for those new to climbing, to test-pieces for even the most elite climbers.

Do I need an induction?

If you are not already an experienced boulderer, with plenty of relatively recent experience at a similar facility then you need to attend the induction before climbing unsupervised.

All newly registering climbers will be asked some basic safety questions before registering. Anyone unable to complete this process is required to attend an induction. Inductions must be booked in advance.

Induction sessions

Our induction sessions are designed to get you off to the best possible start in bouldering. Our coaches explain the safety considerations you’ll need to keep in mind when using the centre. We will guide you through a good warm up and you’ll get some great advice about avoiding injuries when climbing. Your coach will explain how Gravity is laid out and how to find climbs of the right level of challenge for you, as well as how to get the most out of your session. We’ll teach you some fundamental climbing skills- how to use the different hand holds and grip types and how to place your feet. All this should give you confidence so that you can tackle climbs you would have thought impossible.

After that, you can stay as long as you like and the next time you come, it's just the price of a standard entry.

Inductions cost €25 and lasts around 90 mins. Your entry to the Gravity, registration and climbing shoe hire are included.

Advance booking is essential. You can cancel your session up to 3 days before or change your booking up to 24 hrs before your session- use the contact form if you need to cancel or change. No refunds for cancellation within 24hrs of the session, Sorry.

You can book here if everyone in your group is over 18 yrs and has completed our registration form, otherwise please contact us using the form below.
